The Powder Toy 91.0

The Powder Toy is not really a game. But it is amazing. For several years now I have been impressed by this piece of software and how much cool stuff it can do, and now a new release has come out! It's sort of a physics sandbox, where you can construct things out of an absurd amount of elements and then make your creation go live with a physics engine that simulates air pressure, velocity, heat, gravity, electricity, etc, etc. You can add elements in various forms and watch them transform as physics does it's thing. In realtime. And we are not only talking about blowing things up here; I have seen simulations of real, working nuclear reactors, LCD-screens and computer processors! Complete with buttons that control the various functions. Besides being terribly fun to play around with, this could probably be an amazing tool to use in schools when teaching physics or chemistry.

Also, The Powder Toy is connected to a gallery where hundreds of creations can be downloaded with a single click, so you don't have to build something from scratch to have fun. If you have ever wanted to have your own laboratory, safely inside your computer, The Powder Toy is a must-try!

Doesn't this look completely awesome!? This is a nuclear reactor simulator I found in the gallery.
