Xoreos is an open-source reimplementation of the BioWare Aurora Engine. That it, it lets you play games like Neverwinter Nights and Knights of The Old Republic on moderns OS:es. You need the original data-files of course, since this is only the engine, and it is still very early in development. But progress seems to go along nicely, so hopefully these games can be played using a free engine, perhaps even with some modern improvements, some time in the future!
