Okay, here's something different but very cool: Frets On Fire is a guitar playing simulator, similar to the Guitar Hero series. It's not a simulator, but rather a more arcade-like experience, where tapping notes in beat with music creates a surprisingly deep feeling of actually playing a guitar, especially if the tune played is well constructed. Now, you might think you need a special controller for this, but here comes the cool part: If you don't have a guitar controller, but an external keyboard of some sort, you can hold it like a guitar using F1-F5 to tap notes and Return to strum. Works better that expected and makes it easy to try this excellent game.
Apart from innovative control methods, Frets on Fire also has some excellent graphics, cool interface and lots of attitude.
This is definitely worth a try!
