Fancy some classic RTS gaming? One project that has come really far in providing a great RTS experience is OpenRA. Created to implement a free engine for the classic Command & Conquer games, OpenRA has recreations for C&C Tiberian Dawn, C&C Red Alert as well as my favorite: Dune 2000. Since these three games have been released for download at no cost, OpenRA can automatically install their data files and play any of them seamlessly. It also offers loads of improvements over the originals, including modern network play and greater possibilities for mods and settings. It all works great and is in a stable playable state. And as if that wasn't enough, support for C&C Tiberian Sun is in the works! Fans of these games shouldn't miss it.
